Dr. Brandie Gowey, NMD (Dr. B) founded Naturopaths International in 2007 as she was finishing Naturopathic Medical School at Southwest College in Tempe, Arizona. She began Naturopaths International and its supportive non-profit, Friends of Naturopaths International, in order to create a network of physicians offering care to those affected by abuse, traumas, and addictions. She strives to offer women and children medical care intermingled with hope, support and love as they find their potential and learn how to express their true selves. In creating Naturopaths International, it is her wish that the work with those in need will continue well past her life, and will extend into many communities, both locally and globally.
She has a degree in Botany and Conservation Biology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison which led to experience working as a Park Ranger, Plant Conservationist, Naturalist, Supplement Buyer for Whole Foods Market, and a Supplement Manager for a small local natural food store in Madison, Wisconsin. She has traveled extensively, but her main interests are art, meditation, gardening, and spending time outdoors.
